One thing that I always say about MLM’s… “You don’t own that company!”  Someone else owns it.  You are a “glorified sales rep” of any MLM companies that you market for.  By having you market their product independently, they don’t have to pay YOU sick pay or benefits, and they can charge you for their so called “training.”

I don’t believe there is anything wrong with you being a “glorified sales rep.“  Hey, I am right there with you.  What I don’t believe is that you should be filled with hype about how this is your business.  That company is not your business. You are your business! It is about time that you knew that.  That is the only way that you are going to learn to make a substantial income in this type of business.

You Must Brand Yourself…

…not your MLM company!  This is the second thing that you must learn.  First, those MLM companies are not your business, YOU ARE! Second, YOU MUST BRAND YOURSELF AS A LEADER.  You must make yourself the authority and dominate your niche.  This may sound like a tough feat.  I won’t pretend there is no work involved, but it is not as complicated as you might think.

Get Your Own Domain: It is simple enough to pay a few dollars for your own unique domain name that others can remember to type into their address bars.  Even if your domain name is a bit difficult, with today’s technologies and marketing your domain will still be easily found.

Create Unique Web Pages: If I’ve seen one MLM company page, then I’ve seen another.  But if I come to a site that is different and I meet the person, then I am more willing to see what this NEW thing is about.

Add Yourself Into The Mix: Add video, pictures or audio to make your website even more unique.  Make sure that you use media with you in it.  This creates personalization.  When someone is able to to hear or see you, then they feel familiar with you.  This will do a lot for your bottom line.

You Must Automate…

While marketing these MLM companies, you will run yourself into the ground. You must create an automated system to give yourself the true time freedom that you desire to have.  You can automate:

  • Lead Capture Pages
  • Direct Response
  • Direct Sales
  • Follow-up Letters
  • Recruiting
  • and Training of your new recruits.

Having an automated system creates the ease that most MLM companies “hype” is all about.  The problem is that these MLM companies don’t teach you to automate for your own branding.  They automate to brand themselves.  And they have the right to do so.  That company did the work to brand themselves.  They haven’t built their company to brand you.
